Hardcover Arrow Stitch Bookbinding

Spend an evening learning how to hand craft your own journal!  After a brief introduction to bookbinding and the tools of the trade, students will learn how to make their own hard cover book from scratch, using Paperhouse’s gorgeous handmade papers and the Arrow Stitch bookbinding technique.

Students will learn the skill of wrapping boards properly for book covers, and the secrets to stitching the Arrow Stitch.  This will be a 3 signature hard cover book and everyone will leave with a finished project.

Carolyn Eady, owner/artist of Sprouts Press, holds a BFA from OCAD.  With the intention of studying drawing and painting, she fell in love with papermaking, printmaking and book arts.
