COVID-19 Vaccine Policy

We require proof of a minimum of 2 vaccines for all visitors, class participants, artists, members, and/or any member of the community who is entering our studio.

We will require proof of a 3rd vaccine once we move to Phase 2, currently slated for February 26th, 2022. Details for providing proof of vaccination remains the same as below.

To our Paperhouse Community,

We are thrilled to be welcoming you back to our beloved shared space! We have been very cautious and careful in our reopening plans, and are proud to continue to offer a safe and welcoming studio that puts our community’s health as a priority. With this in mind, Paperhouse Studio will be requiring proof of full vaccination for any members and visitors entering our studio space that are above the age of 12, in accordance with Provincial regulations.

Starting Friday, October 22nd, 2021 this will be required for all Paperhouse staff, members, sub-tenants, artists, and guests. We will still be requiring all members and visitors to remain masked and keep a safe physical distance whenever possible. Our existing COVID policies are still in effect.

Details and Process to Submit

Class Participants

In-person classes

Once the class is confirmed—typically 5-7 days prior to the first class, we will be sending you an email providing you with 2 options to confirm proof of minimum of 2 vaccinations to us, as outlined by our vaccine policy. Options listed below:

a. Email us your vaccination certificate that demonstrates proof of at least 2 vaccines.

b. Arrive 10 minutes earlier and show your vaccination certificate on the first day of class, either via an electronic device or a print out. Please ensure it is ready to go to reduce admin time and maximize class time!

Virtual classes

No proof of vaccinations required, unless visiting the physical studio to pick up supplies.

Members / Renters

Members renting or accessing the physical studio space

Upon signing up for membership, you will be required to email your proof of minimum of 2 vaccinations along with a piece of ID to members@paperhousestudio.com, prior to receiving orientation to the studio.

Non-renting members

No proof of vaccinations required, unless visiting the physical studio.

General Visitors

e.g. artists requesting to visit the studio in-person, clients for in-person consultations, etc.

Upon confirmation of the meeting / appointment, you will be asked to provide proof of minimum of 2 vaccinations to the Paperhouse staff and/or member you are meeting with. Options are below:

a. Email us your vaccination certificate that demonstrates proof of at least 2 vaccines.

b. Show your vaccination certificate prior to entering the studio for your visit.

Access to the studio will be denied to individuals ages 12 and up who cannot prove minimum of 2 vaccinations or provide proof of medical exemption.


FAQ

Am I considered vaccinated?

As provided by the Provincial Government

You are considered fully vaccinated if you have received:

  • The full series of a COVID-19 authorized by Health Canada, or any combination of such vaccines (two doses of Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca, including COVISHIELD) in any combination or one dose of Janssen (Johnson & Johnson)

  • One or two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine not authorized by Health Canada followed by one dose of a COVID-19 mRNA vaccine authorized by Health Canada

  • Three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine not authorized by Health Canada

  • Your final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before providing the proof of being fully vaccinated.

You must also receive your final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before providing the proof of being fully vaccinated.

If you are not yet fully vaccinated, book your appointment now at ontario.ca/bookvaccine.

If you received one or more doses of the COVID-19 vaccine out of province, contact your local public health unit to record your information and receive proper documentation. 

How do I show proof of vaccinations?

As provided by the Provincial Government

Paperhouse will accept documentation in the form of:

  • An Ontario vaccination receipt from a vaccine clinic when you received your dose (paper copy)

  • A vaccination receipt signed by an Indigenous Health Provider

  • An Ontario Ministry of Health vaccination receipt received by email following your appointment (digital or printed paper co

  • Downloaded vaccination receipt from Ontario’s provincial booking portal or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1-833-943-3900 (digital or printed paper copy)

  • A vaccination receipt from another jurisdiction that shows the holder is fully vaccinated against COVID-19

  • The new Ontario vaccine QR code

This documentation must be presented alongside a proof of identity that shows your name and date of birth (i.e. driver’s license, provincial ID, or passport) that matches the proof of full vaccination documentation.

How will Paperhouse protect my privacy?

Paperhouse will only keep verification documents long enough to prove your status and then it will be permanently deleted. The QR code is specifically designed to protect your ID and is the safest way to prove your status.  We respect your privacy. 

What if I have a medical exemption?

We will not tolerate any harassment of our staff and/or members as they enforce our policies to keep everyone safe. We will consider this as a breach of our Code of Conduct, and will act upon it accordingly.

I do not have 2 vaccines, but I have already

purchased a class and/or membership. Can I

request a refund?

If you do not have a minimum of 2 vaccines and have purchased a class prior to the date of this published announcement, please email us at education@paperhousestudio.com to request a refund.

If you purchased a class after this published announcement, you would have agreed upon the terms and conditions when purchasing the class, thus those terms and conditions will apply, please review our COVID In-Studio Class Guidelines

Membership

If you are a Paperhouse member who does not have a minimum of 2 vaccinations, please email us at members@paperhousestudio.com to discuss your options for a full or partial refund.
